The incidence of iASD 3 months after LAAO was 34.7%. Hereof 48% of iASD came to a spontaneous closure after approximately 12 months after the procedure.
A persisting iASD was not associated with a higher rate of complications including stroke or peripheral embolism within the follow-up period.
