In this study, pulsed-wave Doppler imaging of the main pulmonary artery was sufficient to measure PAAT in 98.6% of patients (414 of 420). In contrast, 27.1% (114 of 420) either did not have sufficient TR (32 patients) or had an eccentric TR jet precluding precise measurement of TRVmax (82 patients), which were excluded from the study.
